About Blockader

Blockader is a free 2D roguelite arena shooter you play in your browser, where you survive waves of enemies closing in on a ring. Your gun fires on its own, so the job is to move, dodge and stay alive. Touch an enemy or take a sniper shot and you lose a life. Run out of lives and the run ends.

When you play Blockader online, each run is a mix of reflexes and planning. Clearing waves and collecting stars earns you upgrade cards, and you build your character from the picks you make. Between runs you can spend stars on gear and a skill tree, so each attempt starts a little stronger.

If you want to know how to play Blockader, the answer is short. The Blockader controls are only movement, and the depth comes from positioning and from which upgrades you choose. There is nothing to download, and a leaderboard lets you compare how far you got.

Tips to get better at Blockader

Keep moving. Standing still makes it easy for melee enemies to reach you, and the sniper can line up a shot.
Treat upgrade cards as a plan, not separate choices. Pick cards that work with the ones you already have.
Take your time on the upgrade screen. There is no need to rush a pick, so read each effect first.
Mix offense with defense. Damage clears waves faster, but extra protection helps you survive a mistake.
Try different characters once you unlock them, since each one plays differently from Lucky.

Watch the edge of the ring for the sniper and step out of its line of fire.
