Highway Heat is a free car racing game that runs in your browser, with 3D graphics, busy traffic to dodge and cars to upgrade. You drive as far as you can without hitting another vehicle, and you earn coins along the way. There is nothing to download, so you can start a run in seconds.

Four environments are on offer: Village, Winter, Desert and City. Some of them stay locked until you pay with coins. You also pick a mode: One way, Two way, Time Attack or Free Ride. Free Ride is the relaxed option, and it gives you no score and no money.

In the three scored modes, one crash ends the run. Missions and challenges pay out points, coins and bonuses, and you spend that money on more than 10 unlockable cars and on car upgrades for speed, handling, acceleration and looks.
